Last year we were introduced to a small blacked out portion of a smartphone screen. That piece of the screen was left blank to accommodate for front-facing cameras and sensors. This is due to the actual screen taking up almost all of the space in the smartphones front bezel design. The iPhone X and the Essential Phone led the charge last year. This year, a few new smartphones have adopted the Notch. Let’s take a look at these 2018 Smartphones with a Notch.
2018 Smartphones with a Notch
So now in 2018, you can currently get these smartphones which have a Notch design at the top of their respective screens.
The Asus Zenfone 5 is an almost identical design to the iPhone X. It has the near bezeless design with notch and a dual camera setup at the top left of the rear of the phone. But the various similarities and differences are welcomed. The Zenfone 5 has a 6.2 inch super HD+ IPS display and is powered by a Snapdragon 636 chip. There is a high-end Zenfone 5Z version available with a Snapdragon 845 chip.
The Ulefone T2 Pro has a Helio P70 chip with an in screen fingerprint scanner. A first for such a smartphone. The 6.7-inch FHD+ screen has an aspect ratio of 19:9 and runs on the latest Android 8.1 operating system. The Ulefone T2 Pro also has a very impressive 5000mAh battery.
Leagoo is known for manufacturing greatly affordable smartphones with minimal bezels. Their products are cheap and surprisingly decent. There hasn’t been too much of issues or complaints form Leagoo owners, most of which are happy with their purchases. The Leagoo S9 is the latest to join the Notch revolution (Or the iPhone X clone wars if you may). It’s running on Android 8.1 and costs around $150.
And the Notch Continues…
