Introducing the Nokia 7 Plus

The Nokia 7 Plus recently launched at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2018 event that was held in Barcelona. This smartphone comes in a premium styled package with a large screen at a reasonable mid-range price. A price similar to a OnePlus 5t smartphone. Let’s explore the features of the Nokia 7 Plus and decide if this is one of the latest big comeback models of Nokia’s new lineup.

Introducing the Nokia 7 Plus

The Nokia 7 Plus launched alongside the Nokia 8 Sirocco, a premium smartphone that I will also cover in an upcoming post. The most impressive feature of the 7 Plus has to be its large 6-inch HD+ display. It is an updated display that has a modern 18:9 aspect ratio format. There is also an impressive 16MP camera located at the front of the smartphone. At the rear, you will find a set of dual cameras (12MP and 13MP).

As far as internals go, the Nokia 7 Plus has the latest mid spec Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Chip and 4GB of RAM. All powered by its 3800mAh battery. Nokia has promised 2 days of usage from this reasonably sized battery. On the software side, you will get the latest Android Oreo 8.0 operating system. This is certainly a great package and design that comes in at a reasonable price of $490.

The frame of the 7 Plus is aluminium and the rear is coated in the paint with a ceramic feel. Six layers of this paint were used to coat the rear of the smartphone. While the paint may give it a ceramic look and feel, the actual cover may indeed be plastic. Not a surprise at this price point, but a win in terms of looks.
